Featured Contractor Working for Global Edge
We are pleased to tell you about our featured contractor for the quarter, Ricky Byrd. Ricky has nearly fourteen years of project experience and is currently working for us as an Estimator at a major oil and gas company in Houston. Ricky has worked in a variety of engineering industries, such as Aerospace, Oil Refining, Chemical Processing and Exploration & Production. Ricky has also worked as a Project and Reliability Engineer for over 10 years in the downstream industry. Prior to joining with The Global Edge Consultants, he was a Shell employee for four years within the Project Services Cost Estimating Department while supporting Upstream, Downstream, and Unconventional Projects. Presently, Ricky is supporting Upstream Projects in the Gulf of Mexico.


Ricky is a single parent of one child, a ten year old son, and resides in Katy, Texas. Most of Ricky’s spare time is consumed with parenting responsibilities. Surely most of you are saying, “One child…how much responsibility is that?". But Ricky will tell you his hands are FULL! Above all, Ricky enjoys spending time with his son, working out, and traveling when the opportunity is available.
