The mission of The Global Edge has always been to leave a global footprint, both professionally and philanthropically.
While we continue to work on expanding our company’s efforts across the globe, we have been working in our US offices to support local charities here.
One cause near to The Global Edge is supporting the mission of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) in battling Pulmonary Hypertension, a disease that has affected family members of multiple employees and clients. PH is a rare disease that affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and races. This chronic disease is characterized by high blood pressure in the lungs that can lead to heart failure.
While there currently is no cure for PH, PHA is working diligently on funding research for a cure, advocacy, awareness, education and support for the PH community.
November is PH Awareness Month, and several members of The Global Edge helped out with the Aggie-Tiger Maroon & Purple Shootout held at the beautiful Golf Club of Houston in Humble on Friday, November 21. Though the weather was inopportune, our staff volunteers braved the rain and winds to help the tournament go off smoothly. Thank you to all of the players, donors and volunteers for supporting this great organization.
Future events for PHA in Houston include the annual Woodlands CrawPHish Festival in March and 02 Breathe Gala in October. Please contact a member of The Global Edge if you would like to volunteer for either of these events or attend, or visit www.phassociation.org for events and opportunities to volunteer globally.
