Sunshine, crawfish, and music were on the menu at The Woodlands CrawPHish festival held in March.
CrawPHish is spelled with a PH to bring attention to pulmonary hypertension and the efforts to find better treatments and a possible cure. The event was hosted by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, an organization close to the heart of The Global Edge and its employees and clients.
Over 4000 people attended this event, which featured country and zydeco musicians, catered Cajun and BBQ meals, and plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The PHA booth had one activity that stood out called the Straw Test. A person takes a straw and breathes through it for 30 seconds while pinching their nose at the same time. It demonstrates to the average person the toll PH can take on a person’s body when they are just trying to breathe.
The Global Edge was proud to host a tent for employees, clients, and contractors alike to enjoy cold drinks, good food, and better company.
“We cannot be more pleased with this year’s event which has brought so much awareness to Pulmonary Hypertension. The weather was gorgeous, the food delicious and the music awesome,” said Meredith Sharp, PHA Lone Star Director of Development. “This community has truly come together in day of family fun in order to support such an important cause.“
